Garden Writers Today Signs Off

Effective October 31, 2011, Garden Writers Today website and newsletter has ceased publication.

Originally, GWT was conceived as a way to build a community among garden writers. Given the technological advances that have taken place since GWT was launched, other forms of social media have taken over the role of community builder and facilitator. Garden writers have many more gathering places today than they did when GWT was launched. Plus, the granddaddy of them all, Garden Writers Association, is stronger than ever.

Cool Springs Press is committed to giving authors the best opportunities to write good books, the best opportunities to sell good books, and the best marketing and public relations opportunities possible. It is to that goal that we will emphasize our focus.

These are difficult times for the book industry, but we believe there are wonderful times ahead for the gardening industry. In partnership with our authors our goal is to continue to develop the best gardening books in the industry.

Thank you Katie Elzer-Peters, Michael Nolan, Hazel Jennings, and Laura Schaub for their help launching and nurturing GWT.

The CSP staff has enjoyed meeting each of you through GWT, and we hope we provided a valuable service to the garden writing community. We look forward to working with you in the future.
